SN Combat Academy’s U18 Warrior Shines in Thrilling Muay Thai Contest
On Saturday 27th June 2026, the amateur fight circuit returned to Croydon, bringing together some of the region’s most exciting young talent. Representing SN Combat Academy, our Under-18 warriors stepped into the ring determined to showcase their skills, dedication, and fighting spirit.
The first bout of the evening featured Ibby Mortimer of SN Combat Academy against Kevinas Skamarakas from Fight Zone London under Muay Thai rules (5 x 1-minute rounds).
From the opening bell, Ibby controlled the distance beautifully, using his movement, timing, and technical striking to dictate the pace of the fight. However, as the contest progressed, his opponent began applying pressure in the clinch, creating a fascinating tactical battle between both corners.
Round after round, each coach made smart adjustments, resulting in an exciting chess match inside the ring. The momentum shifted several times, with both fighters showing tremendous heart, determination, and composure under pressure.
Ultimately, Ibby’s superior technique, ring control, and adaptability proved to be the difference. After five highly competitive rounds, he was awarded the victory by Unanimous Decision.
