SN Combat Academy fighter Yasmin Ahmed won the WKN world title during an outstanding campaign at the Unified World Championships in Italy.
Representing Team England, Yasmin competed in a specially sanctioned WKN Muay Thai world-title bout. She also entered the adult K-1 competition and fought her way to the final.
Her efforts produced one gold medal, one silver medal and another world championship title.
Third-round TKO secures WKN world title
Yasmin faced an Italian opponent in the specially sanctioned Muay Thai contest.
She entered the bout prepared for a demanding world-title challenge. However, Yasmin remained focused and trusted the work completed during training.
In the third round, she secured the TKO victory and became the new WKN Muay Thai world champion.
The result demonstrated her determination and ability to deliver on the international stage. It also added another gold medal to Team England’s championship total.
Silver medal in the adult K-1 division
In addition to her Muay Thai title bout, Yasmin competed in the adult K-1 division.
She progressed through the competition and earned her place in the final. After a closely contested bout, the result went to a split decision.
Although Yasmin narrowly missed out on a second gold medal, she returned home with a well-earned world silver.
Competing across Muay Thai and K-1 requires a fighter to adjust to different rules and tactical demands. Therefore, reaching the podium in both disciplines represents an excellent achievement.
Yasmin Ahmed becomes a two-time world champion
SN Combat Academy founder and head coach Sobhraj “Khru Sam” Nankani prepared Yasmin for the championships.
Under his guidance, she showed discipline, courage and the confidence to compete against international opposition.
Yasmin previously captured a K-1 World Open title with SN Combat Academy. As a result of her latest victory, she is now a two-time world champion.
The Yasmin Ahmed WKN world-title victory helped SN Combat Academy secure three gold medals and one silver in Italy.
Everyone at the academy is incredibly proud of Yasmin and the way she represented Team England.
Congratulations to Yasmin, Khru Sam and everyone who supported her journey.
One world title. One silver medal. Another unforgettable achievement.
