SN Combat Academy warrior Andy Kateta earned an emphatic second-round TKO victory at the KO Show in Bethnal Green.
On Saturday 3 October, Andy entered the ring for his second amateur K-1 bout. He faced Okegar Niung of Team Marko in a contest scheduled for three two-minute rounds.
Although Andy is still at the beginning of his competitive journey, he entered the bout with confidence and focus. He was ready to put his training into action and represent SN Combat Academy.
Andy follows the fight blueprint
Andy remained calm and disciplined from the opening bell. Most importantly, he listened closely to the instructions from his corner.
He followed the fight plan and stayed focused under pressure. As a result, Andy began to take control of the contest.
In the second round, he secured the stoppage and claimed another convincing victory. His focus and willingness to follow direction helped him produce the decisive finish.
The performance provided another strong example of the SN Combat Academy style and fight blueprint. Andy combined effective technique with discipline, composure and intelligent decision-making.
More than just a victory
However, the performance showed more than Andy’s fighting ability. It also demonstrated his development as a student of K-1.
At SN Combat Academy, fighters learn to remain composed and respond to their coaches. They must also apply their training when the pressure is at its highest.
Because every opponent presents a different challenge, listening is a vital skill. Andy followed his corner’s guidance and turned those instructions into decisive action.
That discipline made a clear difference on the night.
